One of us is right!

Greetings! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. My card today is for the recent new challenge over at Inkspirational where we have a color challenge:  Neutrals

I am a day late in posting. My husband is quite ill at the moment, and I am so appreciative of the Design Team's support of allowing me to continue to contribute, albeit a bit late.

My card is simply sprayed with Distress Ink Stains in Tea Bag and Black Soot. The image is by Stampotique and the sentiment is by Dylusions.

I hope that you will stop over and take a look at all the really cool cards that the rest of the design team created and then create one of your own to share.

Peace on Earth

Greetings and thank you for stopping by my blog! My post today is for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes!" I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team has dreamed up to inspire you and then consider sharing a creation of your own with us. Remember, ours is a stamping challenge so stamping needs to be the focal point of your creation.  One lucky participant will receive a $20 gift voucher from our sponsor, FlonzCraft.

For my piece, I began with a water color panel. I applied several shades of Gelatos and then laid a stencil by Red Lead Paperworks over top and lifted color off with a baby wipe. Torn strips of a book page were added next. The angel by Stampotique was stamped onto scrap water color paper, colored, fussy cut and added to the card front. The sentiment is by Red Lead Paperworks.

Thank you for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Snow!

Greetings! It is time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, the challenge is to create a CAS (Clean and Simple Design) with a touch of sparkle.

I love to see CAS cards, but find them difficult to make. So, this was indeed a challenge for me.  I remembered this dear little boy from Oxford Impressions, the sentiment is from OI, too.  After Stamping the focal image and sentiment, I added some snow with a Tim Holtz Stencil and Distress Ink. For sparkle, I added a bit of Ranger Stickles.

For true CAS card beauty, please stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with. We hope that you will consider making a sample of your own to share with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I truly appreciate your visits and your comments. Best, Yvonne

Snow

Greetings! So lovely of you to drop by my blog today! We have a new challenge at Inkspirational!

This time, it's a "word prompt." Lots of different ways to go with the word, "Chill." I immediately thought of being outside, as the weather turns cooler. You will want to stop over, though, at Inkspirational, to see how the rest of the Design Team interpreted the challenge.  We hope you will consider creating a piece of your own to share with us.

For my piece, I worked with an image by Gecko Galz. The snowflakes, sentiment and branches on the front of the card are all by Oxford Impressions. Had fun with my Ranger Enamels and Stickles in completeting my card. Thanks for visiting. Best, Yvonne

'Tis the Season

Greetings! It is time, once again, for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge! The theme this month is entitled 'Tis the Season. Its up to you to choose, autumn or winter for your creation! I hope you will stop over to see the absolutely gorgeous creations by the rest of the Design Team and then be inspired to create a project of your own to share with us.  Remember, we are a stamping challenge, so stamping most be the focal point of your creation.  One lucky participant will earn a gift voucher for $20 from our gracious sponsor, Flonzcraft

For my own creation, I worked with a new to me set of images from De Stempelwinkel, plate 178.  I decided to keep the panel pristine and stamp directly onto it with StazOn Ink in Midnight Blue. I added a piece of torn paper to the bottom of the panel for dimension and texture and added some stars in varying sizes to give the illusion of the skaters dancing under the stars.  Fond memories, as a child of skating at nightime! Thanks for stopping by. We hope you join in at FSC.

Best, Yvonne

Everything begins and ends with you!

Greetings! Back again with another project for the newest Photo Inkspiration Challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge.

Isn't it a cool photo? Wait until you see the projects that the rest of the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you.  We hope you will consider submitting a creation of your own!

Mine was quite simple.  I do not often create a card without stamping on it. I made an exception for this one.  I enjoyed adding all the Ranger Stickles to it, too.  Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

I wish you a Merry Christmas!

Greetings! It's time, once again, for another challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! For the month of November, the Pink Team Challenge is to create any project with a "bow" on it.  I decided to create a Christmas card with some images from Oxford Impressions that have never been inked before.  The background was done with Brushos. I hope you will stop over to check out the wide variety of projects at Eclectic Ellapu, and then consider sharing a project of your own with us.  Thanks for stopping by!
Best, Yvonne

The theme is "Black with one other color." I hope you will pop over to see all the Inkspiration pieces the Design Team created and be Inkspired to create one of your ow to share with us.
For my card, I used a stamp set by Visible Image and stamped with Distress Paint. The raindrops are Ranger Enamel. Thanks for stopping by!

In the Depth of Winter

Greetings! It's time again for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time, the theme is "Trees."  You will be absolutely astonished at the gorgeous design team makes.  I hope you will check them out.  For my own card, I used a stamp set by Artistic Output.  I decided to keep it very neutral and mostly black and white.  I tinted the cabin with a little red ink and added some Ranger Stickles for a snowy effect.

We hope you are inspired to create a stamped project of your very own to share with us.  One lucky participant will earn a Gift Voucher from our sponsor FlonzCraft.  Best wishes! Yvonne

Friendship Never Melts Away

Greetings! It is great to be back on my blog again.  I had an accident last week that had me down for the count for awhile, but happy to be back feeling better again.  It's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!

This time, the challenge is to create a project with "Five or more stamps."  I chose a beautiful set of images and sentiments from Artistic Outpost that I inked up for the first time for this challenge.  The boy and girls were mounted with foam for a bit of dimension.  I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team created to inspire you and then create a project of your own to share with us.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by.  Best, Yvonne

Vintage Christmas Charm

Greetings faithful followers! I am somewhat late with this post for the October challenge for the pink team over at Eclectic Ellapu where the theme is "Shabby Chic or Vintage." My card was made using a water color panel with Brushos Color Crystals.  The images are from Oxford Impressions and the snowflakes are from my stash. I hope you will stop over to see the wide variety of inspiration pieces and then consider making a piece of your own to share with all of us.  Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful

Greetings! Many thanks for your faithful visits to my blog.  I have a card to share with you today for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational with the word prompt of "Glamour."

I had hoped to create a card with some Marilyn Monroe images, but alas no matter how many different inks and papers I tried, I could not get a clean image.  I have a difficult time with photo images.  If any of you have suggestions, I would sure appreciate your help.

I decided, instead, to ink up another new to me stamp from Technique Tuesday. I prepared my panel using a variety of Distress Paints and then stamped the focal image onto tissue paper before adding it to the panel.  The sentiments are from Unity Stamps. A bit of washi tape, and voila!

I hope you will stop over to check out all the great inspiration pieces and then consider creating a piece of your own to share with us.  Thanks so much for stopping by. Yvonne

Vintage Toys

Greetings! I am late posting my design team sample for the new challenge over at Inkspirational.  An unexpected 8-day stay in the hospital for my husband has really upset the apple cart!

As you can see from the photo above,  we are working from the photo to be inspired to create our projects.  I hope that you will pop over to see all the fabulous creations from our design team, and guest designer, and then consider joining in the fun with a project of your own.

For my own card, I had to dig back very deep into my early stamp acquisitions to a set called "Vintage Toys" by Invoke Arts Stamps. The last time I created with this set, it came out quite different. I decided to make polka dots by dipping the bottom of a tool into crackle paint.  I guess because it was such small quantities the crackle really doesn't show. The images were stamped on scrap water color paper, trimmed and water colored with Tombow markers. Some washi tape was used to ground the toys. A bit of stenciling with Distress Ink, and a touch of Ranger Enamel.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Best, Yvonne

I'll be Home for Christmas

Greetings! There's a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu. This time the Pink Team theme is around gifts. You can make a gift or a project with a gift on it.

I remembered this now defunct company, Art Declassified, image I had with gifts as part of the set. The letters spelling Joy are from Oxford Impressions.

I hope you will stop over to see all the inspiring projects by the Design Team and then create a project of your own to share with us. Thanks for stopping. Yvonne

Red, Blue and Yellow...

Greetings and thank you for your faithful visits to my blog! Back today with a card I made for the newest challenge of "Primary Colors" for Inkspirational.  I hope you will stop over to see all the varied (and stunning) work created to inspire you by the rest of the Design Team and then create a piece of your very own to share with us.

I must say that I cannot remember the last time that I worked in primary colors....I began with red and yellow Brusho Crystals and sprayed water on them on water color paper.  The images are all by Stampotique and were colored in the Towbow Markers. Loving the new Ranger Enamels used to accent my card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Best, Yvonne

Heaps of Pearls

Greetings! Back again with a post for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge, where the new theme is "Resist."

I cannot remember the last time I created a piece using resist.  I really struggled, and almost gave up and then realized I was trying to use too heavy of inks. Once I broke out my sorely neglected Distress Ink Pads the images finally revealed! The shells are by Red Lead Paperworks, and the stenciled coral is also by Red Lead, as are the sentiments.

I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team has cooked up for you and then consider creating a piece of your own to share with us. Remember, one lucky participant will win a gift voucher from our sponsor, Flonzcraft.

Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Sunshine and Happiness

Greetings! It's time again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational.  This time, we are to use patterned or designer paper with an optional twist of stamping onto the patterned paper.

I hope you will stop over to see the fabulous, and varied, samples that the Design Team have dreamed up to inspire you.  For my own card, I began with a discarded panel from another project that wasn't working for me.  It was colorized with Gelatos. I tore up strips of designer paper and adhered them to the top and bottom of the panel. The bunny girl by Stampotique was stamped on white card and several different pieces of designer paper and then paper pieced together onto the panel. I added a Kate Crane image for Stampotique to the background panel and then colored the images in with TowBow Markers and Posca Pens. The chit chat stickers complete my panel, which was matted and adhered to the card base. Thanks as always for stopping by.  I really appreciate your visits. Best, Yvonne

Serendipity

Greetings! Time once again for another challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! The Pink Team selected "Florals" for their theme. I hope you will stop over and check out all the beautiful projects and be inspired to create one of your own to share with us.

Mine began with a water color panel. I laid a Stencil Girl Stencil on the panel and sprayed Sunshine Yellow and Pink Bubblegum Dylusions Ink Sprays through the stencil.  I picked up the stencil, turned it over and smooshed it around the rest of the panel to use up the excess in and fill in the panel.  The image and sentiment from Tim Holtz for Stampendous were stamped on scrap card, trimmed and water colored and added to the panel. The panel was matted and added to a card base. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your visits and comments make my days! Best, Yvonne

Summer Fun

Greetings! It is time once again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time we have a word prompt of "Dip."

All sorts of ways go with this word prompt! Being a lover of the beach, you can guess the direction I took! Just received this set of images from Cherry Pie Art Stamps and had fun stamping and watercoloring. I hope you will stop over and see all the gorgeous makes by the rest of the design team and then make one of your own to share with us! Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate your visits and comments.  Best, Yvonne

Cityscape

Greetings! It's time for the latest challenge over at Inkspirational! As you can see from above, it is a Photo Inkspiration.  Isn't it cool? My design team sisters have really come up with some exceptional cards that they were inspired to create. I hope you will consider crafting a card or other project of your own and submit it to share with us.

My card was created using stamp images from Stampotique. As I stamped the images onto hot press watercolor paper, I simply could not resist the urge to pull out my TomBow Markers and water color a bit. I love the edgy feel of my design team sisters' cards, though. But the color is already laid down! Thanks so much for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Under the Sea

Greetings! It is once again time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time, the theme is "Under the Sea." I hope you will stop over to FSC to check out the gorgeous pieces the rest of the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you and then consider creating a piece of your own to share with us. One lucky participant will be selected to win a gift voucher from our sponsor FlonzCraft. Please remember that we are a stamping challenge. You will find complete rules over at FSC.

For my own piece, I began with a water color panel and added water colors in multiple shades of blue and green.  I then stenciled several shades of Dylusions paints through a Stencil Girl Stencil. The colors were a bit vivid so I sprayed the whole panel with Linen Dylusions Ink Spray. I stamped various stamps by Oxford Impressions onto tissue paper and collaged them onto the panel. A few shells were added for dimension. Thanks so much for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Celebrate

Greetings friends! Back today with my inspiration piece for the latest challenge over at Inkspirational! This time around, we have a colour challenge:  anything goes with red!

I often marvel at how a card comes together for me. I climb the stairs to my art room, thinking about a stamp I have that is calling out to be inked and before you know it, voila, its done! I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the design team dreamed up to inspire you and that you will share a piece of your own with us!

The images and sentiment for my piece are from Art Journey and the background is simply a paper napkin that I tore into pieces and collaged onto water color paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Leaping through the Poppys

Greetings friends! I am back today with a card I created for the newest challenge for Eclectic Ellapu. For the month of July, it's "Anything Goes" for the Pink Team.  I was in the mood to pay with napkins so I tore up a guest towel and layered it onto a water color panel.  I had some scrap black and white paper laying on my table so I added it, as well.  I decided not to fill in all the white space and instead stenciled polka dots with embossing paste.  The focal image by Unity Stamps is one of my favorites. I added a touch of lace and a bow to give the card a bit more texture.  I know you will enjoy seeing what the rest of the design team dreamed up for you and I hope that you will consider sharing a piece of your own for our challenge. Thanks for dropping by. Best, Yvonne

To Have Faith

Greetings! It's time once again for another new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time, the challenge is to "Mask." I do not do a lot of masking, and I am always thankful for challenges that push me a bit to grow my skill set, so this one was perfect for me.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you. Please consider submitting a piece of your own for us to enjoy.

For my card, I began by laying a number of different colors of Gelatos onto a water color panel. I added water until I was happy. Then I stenciled with a number of stencils on top of the panel. I found a stencil by Red Lead Paperworks in my stash that included a package of the cut outs created by the stencil, i.e. mask. I laid the masks on the panel and then spritzed with Black Marble Dylusions Ink Spray. After removing the masks, I splattered Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint in various colors over the panel. The sentiments and birds nest are by Red Lead Paperworks, too. Thanks so much for dropping by. Yvonne

Ta-Dah!

Greetings! My card today was created for the June Challenge over at Rubber Dance. The photo below shows the colors that are to be included:

I am new to Rubber Dance Stamps, and though I have stamps on order from them, I did not think the ones I already had lent themselves to this color scheme, and so I chose to use stamps from Stampotique Originals. The background was created with Gelatos and Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint and a Wendy Vecchi Stencil.

The focal image was colored with TomBow Markers.  I enjoyed creating my card! Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Life is the Flower

Greetings and thank you for stopping by today! There's a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time, the challenge theme is "Beautiful Blooms." Perfect for June! I chose to ink up this Donna Downey Poppy Flower Stamp by Unity Stamps. It is huge at 7" tall.  I stamped it onto watercolor paper after inking the stamp with TomBow Markers.  I outlined the flowers with black ink to give them more definition and added a bit more color to some of the blooms.  The little fairy girl is by Red Lead Paperworks and was stamped onto the panel and watercolored with TomBow Markers, as well.  The sentiment is by Oxford Impressions. Texture was added with Black embossing paste through stencils, all by Wendy Vecchi. Scraps of torn book page were added and then the piece was matted and mounted to a card base. Finished size is 8" x 8."

I hope you will stop over to the inspiration pieces of the rest of the design team and then make a piece of your own to share with us.  One lucky participant will win a gift voucher from our sponsor, Flonzcraft.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focal point of your piece. Full details are available over at FSC.

Thanks for stopping by.  I truly enjoy your comments. Best, Yvonne

In honor of my Mom

Greetings! I stumbled on a new challenge this morning, called Mixed Media Monthly Challenge, and decided to submit this card.(I selected Challenge #14 from June 2015 for my project.)  It was created using Golden Fluid Acrylics laid onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water and mopped up with a panel of water color paper.  It was a bit too dark, so I sprayed it with Linen Dylusions Spray Ink.  The background images were stamped with StazOn Ink in Midnight Blue.  The focal images were stamped on water color scraps with Ranger Archival ink.  I then scribbled TowBow Markers onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water and dragged the panels through the color to age them.  The edges were distressed with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and each panel was matted with black paper and added to the larger painted panel.  I added sequins, a bit of cheese cloth and a tiny dried starfish, matted the finished panel and layered into a white card panel.  Finished size 8" x 8". All images by Rubber Dance Stamps. It was titled as such, as I created it in honor of my mom on her recent birthday.  She loved the beach!  Best, Yvonne

Lest We Forget

I was mesmerized, recently, when I saw this new to me stamp set by Paper Artsy. It was perfect for creating a card for Memorial Day, which we celebrate here in the USA.  With deepest gratitude for all who paid the ultimate price. Thank you for stopping by. Yvonne

Celebrate

I had so much fun creating this card for my oldest grandson who turned 11 yesterday! Really enjoying mixed media backgrounds and find myself reaching for water color panels for nearly every card I make.  The bunny boy is Kate Crane for Stampotique and the background images are hand carved Kate Crane images. Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Butterflies in Flight

The weeks go by swiftly! Already, it is time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, its a word prompt: Text!

Please check out all the cool samples created by the rest of the Design Team and consider submitting a project of your own.

For my piece, I used images by Red Lead Paperworks, stamped onto water color paper and selectively colored in with Towbow Markers and a water color brush.  Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Every Summer has a Story

Greetings! I have a card to share with you today for the newest challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu where the theme for the Pink Team is "MidSummer." Lots of ways to go with this one.  I chose to use one of my favorite stamps by Crafty Individuals and a new to me umbrella stencil by Stencil Girls.  ChitChat stickers and Dylusions Ink Sprays on water color paper and a touch of torn fabric and a sprinkling of seashells complete my card.  I really enjoyed making this.  Thanks for stopping by and I always enjoy your comments.  I hope you will submit a project of your own for the challenge that goes on throughout the month of June.  Best, Yvonne

All that Jazz!

Greetings! It's hard to believe it is already time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, we have a photo to inspire us, see below:

I must confess, that the photo inspiration challenges are among my very favorite.  I so admire the samples of my design team sisters, as their pieces are always so original.  I often lean toward replicating, somewhat, the photo supplied.  I look forward to seeing how you are inspired and hope that you will submit a piece of your own for us to see and enjoy.

My background was done with Gelatos and a water brush on water color paper. The images and sentiments are brand new to me and are from Visible Images.  They are perfect, as I want to send a card to my grandchildren who were in Jazz Band this year.

Thanks as always for stopping by.

Best, Yvonne

Let's Eat Cake!

Greetings! It is wonderful to be back again over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge! I really enjoyed the new theme of Blots and Splashes.  I hope you will check out what the rest of the design team came up with to inspire you and then create and share a design of your own for a possible chance at a wonderful prize from our sponsor, Flonzcraft.  Please remember, we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the absolute focal point of your design. See Fashionable Stamping for complete details.

My card was created using a Stampotique image by Kate Crane, and as well, the background stamp images were hand carved by Kate Crane, herself!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Best, Yvonne
