Always and Forever

Greetings and thank you so much for stopping by! Today, I am sharing a card I made for the new challenge over at Inkspirational where our theme is "Space."

There are all kinds of ways to go with this word prompt!  I wanted to do something celestial but my stamp images were limited.  I remembered this vintage image by Stampsmith, stamped it in Midnight Blue StazOn Ink and matted it and layered it over a water color panel that was colorized with several Dylusions Ink Sprays.  I could only find two mirrored stars by Idea-ology, so I added more stars using Light Modeling Paste by Goldens and a stencil by Red Lead Paperworks.  A bit of seam binding fashioned into a bow completes my card.  I hope you will pop on over to Inkspirational to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and then consider submitting a project of your own.  Hugs, Yvonne

Time to Fly

Greetings!  My post today is for the current challenge over at Make My Monday where the theme celebrates Earth Day and Nature.  I really love bird imagery and was excited to pull out some older stamps from Red Lead Paperworks.  I began by applying Bister to Hot Press Watercolor paper.  I wasn't sure I needed Bister when I purchased it, as I already have Brusho, but am glad that I decided to get it after all.  The colors are much more muted, perfect for this type of scene.  The birds were watercolored with TowBow Markers and the edge of the panel was stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  A simple bow fashioned from ribbon purchased from the Funkie Junkie Boutique and my card is complete.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

To Love and Be Loved

Greetings dear friends and thank you for stopping by today.  My post is for the latest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is Lovey Dovey and can either be two people or a pair of animals!  I hope you will pop on over to see what the rest of the Design Team has dreamed up for you and then submit a project of your own for the chance to win a $20 gift voucher from our ever generous sponsor, FlonzCraft!

For my own card, I began by spaying three different Dylusions Ink Sprays onto a water color panel.  I over stamped several images by Dina Wakely and added washi tape.  The focal image and sentiment are a set from Crafty Individuals.  They were lightly watercolored with Towbow Markers.

Looking forward to seeing your project! Hugs, Yvonne

What if I Fall?

Greetings! Back with another card this evening for the current challenge over at Our Creative Corner.  I thought I had posted a card earlier, but in looking through Mr. Linky, it appears not!  The challenge, Color Your World, is to create a project using colors that remind us of spring.  I began by sprinkling Brusho Crystals that remind me of spring onto water color paper and spritzing with water.  The house and tree by Artistic Outpost in the background were stamped with Black Archival Ink onto tissue paper and adhered to the panel.  The bird by Red Lead Paperworks was stamped directly onto the water color panel and colored in lightly with Towbow Markers.  The little girl and sentiment are clip art imagery by Gecko Galz.  A bit of washi tape by 3M and Black Ink by Dr. PH Martin dropped on the card panel complete my card.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Thin Ice...

Greetings! My post today is to showcase a card I made for the new challenge over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Make Your Own Background."  To create the background, I used a water color panel and sprinkled Brusho Crystals on it and then sprayed with water.  When it was dry I added the washi tape by Scarlet Lime, some dots from a stamp by Dina Wakely dipped in Silks Acrylic Paint and then doodled around the perimeter with a black pen. The image is from FlonzCraft and the sentiment is by Dylusions.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

April Showers

Happy Monday everyone!  Back today with a card I created for two challenges.  The first is for the new challenge over at Make My Monday where the theme is April Showers.  My card was also created for the challenge over at Mixed Media Monthly Challenge, which is also looking for projects with a theme of April Showers.

To create my card, I began with a piece of hot press water color paper.  I added Brusho Cyrstals in four colors to the card and spritzed with water.  When dry, I stamped raindrops by Designs by Ryn, repeatedly over the card panel.  A bit of white ink was added to each drop to make them glisten!  A strip of Washi Tape by Scarlet Lime was added to the bottom of the card panel.  The focal image is by Unity Stamps and was stamped on scrap card, fussy cut and colored with TowBow Markers and mounted to the card panel.  The sentiment, by Oxford Impressions was stamped on scrap card and secured to the card panel with washi tape from 3M. The panel was matted with black paper and attached to a card blank.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.  I truly appreciate every visit and thoroughly enjoy your comments.  Hugs, Yvonne

Bird House

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog today! I guess it is spring, as I find myself drawn to my bird images lately!  Yesterday, I received my supply of Bister in the mail, so I thought I would give it a try.  It is similar to Brushos, though the crystals are not as brightly colored.  I began by laying done a number of different colors of Bister onto card and spraying with water and then drying the card panel.  Next I dipped a small paint brush into Goldens' Titanium White Fluid Paint and splattered it on the card base.  The nest and bird house, by Red Lead Paperworks, were stamped on vintage paper and trimmed and added next over a distressed doily. The eggs in the nest were painted with Silks.  The birds, also by Red Lead Paperworks, were stamped on water color paper and water colored, trimmed and added to the card front. Some burlap string, vintage buttons and a feather complete my card.  I am submitting my card over at the new challenge called Stamps and Stencils, a Mixed Media Challenge.

Cherry Blossoms

Hello and welcome to my blog! My post today is for the current challenge over at Make My Monday, which is about to close! We are to create a project inspired by  hand painted painting below:

I chose to begin with a piece of hot pressed water color paper and then added washes of pink and light blue.  The branches and cherry blossoms are a stencil from Red Lead Paperworks.  I added them with a light coat of Pumice Stone Distress Ink and then water colored over top of the stenciled portions of the card.  The birds are stamp images from Red Lead Paperworks, which were stamped onto the card panel and water colored as well. A splattering of metallic water color and a metal corner complete my card.  I decided to add a sentiment as I have a number of friends who have lost a parent recently and I thought the card was soothing.  Always difficult for me to create sympathy cards.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

Baby Chicks

Greetings and thank you for stopping by my blog today!  My card today is for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational.  This time, we have a Photo Inkspiration Challenge for you to follow.
When I first saw this really cool photo, I thought I would pull out my egg stamps and stencils.  In the end, I decided to gather up some Gecko Galz  Digital Images and papers and make a card with peeps on it.  Peeps come from eggs, right?!  A few buttons from my stash, a seam binding bow, a paper doily and some liquid pearls and my card is complete. I hope you will check out the rest of the Design Team's projects to inspire you and then share one of your own with us!  Hugs, Yvonne

Spread Love

Greetings and a warm welcome to all of you!  My post today is for three challenges.  The first is for the new challenge over at the Unity "Be Inspired" Challenge where I chose the color challenge below.

I had a lot of fun creating my water color background to include all the colors for this color challenge.  The focal and sentiment are from the Anna Girl set by Unity.  The flowers are from the "Dream with your Heart" set, also by Unity.  Ranger Liquid Pearls and some faux stitch lines complete my mixed media card.

My card was also created for a brand new challenge I came across last evening called Stamps and Stencils! The theme is "Anything Goes," and is to be a mixed media piece.  I am looking forward to future challenges at this challenge site.  They have a fabulous lineup on their design team.

And finally, my card was created for the Stampotique Designers Challenge with the theme being "Stitching," which I also discovered yesterday and now have a bunch of new Stampotique Stamps on order!

Thanks so much for all your kind comments and visits! Hugs, Yvonne

StitchYour Dreams

Greetings my dear friends and thank you for stopping by my blog.  My card today was created for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Sew What."  We would love to see you take on the challenge.  I hope you will pop over to FSC and see the gorgeous projects the rest of the Design Team have created to inspire you and then create one of your own to share with us.  For my own, I stamped a collage stamp from Red Lead Paperworks onto Hot Press Water color paper.  I decided to make a patchwork of sorts with washi tape to tie into the sentiment, also by Red Lead, which I stamped in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  The buttons were from my stash.  Please remember we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focal point of your project.  One lucky participant will win a gift voucher for $20 from our generous sponsor FlonzCraft.  Happy Stamping! Hugs, Yvonne

Today, I am sharing with you one of my newest creations using the April offerings over at Gecko Galz.  The background paper is from the Flower Power Paper Pack, the rabbits are from the Easter Parade Stamp Set and the bird panel is from Provence Garden.  I added a little bird nest using an image from Red Lead Paperworks.  To complete my card, I added ChitChat Stickers, a seam binding bow from my stash and a metal corner from Funkie Junkie.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Wishing you and your family a Blessed Easter.  Love, Yvonne
